The sales effort between Vektek and Gerardi allow both companies to expand footprint globally. Gerardi is known for its innovative designs and its advanced systems, particularly in vises and zero point systems. Some of the advantages of the Gerardi vises include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Steel and Not Cast Iron: High alloy quality resistant steel, case hardened HRC 60;
2. Quick Clamping: The clamping device slides in the vise base, there are hydraulic, pneumatic, hydraulic actuation and control options, changing requires only a few seconds.
3. Modularity: All vises and accessories are modular, and the components of all vises are interchangeable with “perfect alignment.”
4. Space Saving and Design: This vise line represents an optimal space saving design, and its solid construction allows a maximum blocking ratio with respect to the total overall dimension of the vise.
5. Highest Possible Accuracies: Every sliding and coupling surface is ground. Specific “centesimal” tolerances are guaranteed by checking cycles with CNC measuring machines. The perfect alignment with the machine axis is give by “longitudinal and cross keyways” (or positioning holes).
6. Rigidity and Safety: Both jaw plates are manufactured with a pull-down angle which can be used as either pull down or fixed jaws. Both jaw bodies are built in one solid piece.
7. Versatility: The fixed jaw with 5x5 mm step can be matched to the “prismatic” jaw – that allows the clamping of plates without parallels; Vertical, sideway and gang operations are possible with the appropriate components.
